T1 - Shared experiences and lessons learnt during the pandemic: Preparing for the unexpected

Auditorium CAIXA

Chair(s)

Mr Luis Lourenço (FIP Professional Secretary, Portugal)

Introduction

As the pandemic continues to severely disrupt healthcare systems and economies worldwide, key stakeholders in global health — including members of the pharmacy profession — are playing a crucial role in fighting the virus. COVID-19 has posed tremendous challenges for the world and provided lessons to prepare for public health crises and unexpected events/disasters. In this session, panellists will discuss these challenges. They will draw on successes, failures and lessons learnt, which will help counter similar challenges in planning to combat pandemics and other emergencies, including natural and man-made disasters.
