Introduction
Pharmacy in Spain has been able to respond swiftly to the COVID-19 pandemic and during the past two years it has reaffirmed itself to society as an essential health profession. The 76,821 registered pharmacists, from all fields of practice, have demonstrated an absolute dedication to service.
With an attitude that is always constructive for society and the health system, the General Pharmaceutical Council of Spain has led the response to each challenge all the while guaranteeing access to medicines and contributing to disease prevention and early detection. All this is based on three pillars: care, social and digital.
